Our Philosophy
OsteoCura is a family run, independent osteopathy and sports massage studio, born by two people who share a passion for recovery, rehabilitation and the enjoyment of life.
The name itself reflects what we believe in: osteo comes from the Greek for bone, the structure of the body, and In Italian, cura means care, healing with presence. For us, it points to a simple idea: caring for the body’s structure in a way that supports its natural capacity to heal.
In this sense, Osteocura is not something we “do to” the body, but a sense of healing that can flourish from within the body. This aligns closely with one of the core principles of Osteopathy:
“the body contains within itself its own medicine chest”.
The living organism is not passive, nor incomplete. It is intelligent, adaptive, and continuously seeking and softening into balance (Homeostasis). Thus health is not inserted from the outside, but expressed in a continuous relational exchange with the environment, when the right conditions are present.
From this perspective, the body already holds within what it needs to heal.
What it sometimes requires then is not correction, but hands that listen and presence that helps the system remember its own coherence.
Osteocura therefore describes a way of working that is both simple and profound:
to meet the body with care (cura), so that its inherent capacity for self-regulation and repair can re-emerge, and the person can go on and enjoy each day in more ease and comfort.
This approach is grounded, practical, and human. It draws on osteopathic principles and clinical experience across rehabilitation, women’s health, disability care, palliative support and sports rehabilitation.
Osteocura is a down to earth space for effective care, where treatment becomes less about fixing and more about reconnecting the body to its own intelligence, allowing the needed changes to arise naturally, safely, and in their own time, through a genuine act of listening, support and ultimately, remembering.
My name is Giusi, and I am a qualified osteopath and Assistant Lecturer for the International Department at the European School of Osteopathy.
I came to osteopathy through my own experience of physical and emotional pain. After years of living with back pain, sciatica, anxiety, poor sleep and digestive issues, a friend suggested I see an osteopath. That experience changed my life. Through treatment I gradually reconnected with my body, my energy, and my ability to enjoy life again. It was this journey that inspired me to become an osteopath myself.
I moved from Bristol to Maidstone to study, and here I found a wonderful community. Through both challenges and joy, it became a place where I could grow, heal and discover a deep sense of belonging. Opening my practice here feels like a way of giving back to the place that has held me so gently throughout my own journey.

Meet Giusi
Since graduating, I have continued to train in women's health, pregnancy and postnatal care, paediatrics, oncology support, disability care and palliative care.
My work has also been shaped by experiences beyond the clinic. I have volunteered in communities around Lake Victoria, Africa, learning traditional women's and birth care from village doulas, and taken part in healthcare missions in the jungles of Costa Rica, supporting children and adults with additional needs.
Here in the UK, I facilitate workshops and osteopathic sessions for former female prisoners, focusing on nervous system regulation, embodiment and gentle reconnection with themselves and their communities.
These experiences profoundly and constantly add on to my understanding of trauma, safety and compassionate care as means to create a more embodied sense of community in everyone.
While my clinical approach is grounded in osteopathic training and modern medical knowledge, it is equally inspired by traditional healing practices, community care and a deep respect for the body's innate capacity to adapt and heal. Every experience continues to shape the way I listen, understand and meet each person where they are.
Today I work with people of all ages and abilities, including those living with chronic pain, disability, cancer and those receiving end-of-life care. I believe osteopathy is for everyone, and that care should be gentle, respectful and deeply human, supporting wellbeing from the first breath to the last.
I look forward to welcoming you and supporting you on your own journey towards health and wellbeing.
Meet Josh
Hello, my name is Josh, I am an accredited Sports Massage Therapist and currently pursuing a degree in Osteopathy, bringing a strong foundation in anatomy, injury management, and evidence‑based rehabilitation.
Before entering clinical practice, I spent many years working in the yachting industry making my way up to become a Captain. I regularly managed first-aid situations and supported crew with deep tissue massage and injury rehabilitation, sparking my early interest in musculoskeletal health. This unique combination of hands-on medical experience, high-pressure decision making, and advanced academic training enables me to deliver effective, empathetic, and structured treatment plans to all who needs.
Sports Massage Therapist
For 10 years I worked on board various large sailing yachts ranging from 30–60 meters in length. I have delivered and sailed them across the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and all around the mediterranean. I have cared for highly established yacht owners, and managed many crew members. During my time in this industry, I have encountered various characters of people. Living and working so closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds has given me a deep appreciation for human behavior, communication, and the empathy required to build strong, trusting relationships.
Sailing around the world and experiencing a wide range of cultures has broadened my understanding of life and helped shape who I am today, resilient, adaptable, and grounded. These experiences have taught me how to connect with people on a personal level, listen attentively, and approach every interaction with respect and compassion. Those qualities I now bring into my developing career in healthcare, Sports Massage and Osteopathy.
Outside of my career life, I have always been a keen sports player, very competitive, and loved the outdoors. I have competed in spartan marathons, golfing competitions, windsurfing events and crewed for worldwide yacht races. This great interest in sports has pushed my developing career more towards being specialised in sports injury, maintenance and rehabilitation.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to accomplish your health goals and general well-being.
